currently, i feel as though having a blog has fallen out of fashion among the general population. and i kinda think that's a shame. mostly because there's a lot less of people's melodramatic thoughts and personal lives on display for my nosy ass to read whenever i like, but also because i think it reflects a change in the way that people see the internet that's not necessarily positive. everyone takes being online so much more seriously now. and that's not to say that they shouldn't (in a world where potential employers are meticulously scouring your social medias before hiring you and people base their entire view of you based on what they can find you in online, you would have to be stupid to NOT take it seriously).
the way i see it, the whole idea of internet blogging usually revolves around the assumption that it's not that serious, that it's not something ur planning on having the people u know irl see. it gives you some degree of anonymity while also giving you some degree of a platform at the same time. i guess that's what i'm trying to do with this blog, if i had to sum it up in a few words.
also, sometimes you just need a place to scream into the void. if you're actually sitting here and reading this blog, u can probably expect a lot of that...
